Edinburgh Weather Station
This station is situated on the roof of a building in the University's science campus.
This does not meet the normal criteria for exposure for official weather stations. Hence the data should not be used in a research context.
In this image from 16 Aug 2001, cumulus clouds can be seen in the
foreground against a distant bank of altostratus. Note that the cumulus
is moving from the south-west, while the altocumulus motion has a
component from the east.
