Research Interests: My current research interests are in the fields of geomechanics and geochemistry of CO2 migration in the subsurface. My Ph.D specialised in Stable Isotope Monitoring techniques of CO2-EOR pilots in Alberta, Canada with a focus on quantitatively describing the distribution of CO2 in the reservoir over time using a combination of geochemical and geophysical monitoring techniques. Since my PhD I have continued an interest in geochemical monitoring as well as uncertainty in using geological datasets, digital field mapping and I have worked as a Structural Geologist in industry. There I focused on assessing fluid migration in fault and fracture controlled reservoirs for CO2, geothermal and traditional oil and gas reservoirs through the use and development of numerical modelling. Since joining the University of Edinburgh in June of 2013 I have begun work on the UKCCSRC funded `Fault Seal controls on aquifer CO2 storage capacity┐ project in conjunction with the BGS and partners in Europe.
